Removal Instructions:
-
Supplies needed
- Acetone free nail polish remover
- Cotton balls or pads
- A cuticle pusher or
- A nail file
- cuticle oil
-
Soak Your Nails:
- Instead of soaking the press-ons directly in acetone, use a cotton ball or pad soaked in acetone-free nail polish remover.
- Place the soaked cotton on the press-on nail and gently press it against the nail for a few seconds to soften the adhesive.
-
Gently Lift the Press-Ons:
- Using a cuticle pusher or orange stick, gently slide it underneath the press-on nail. Start at the cuticle area and work your way toward the tip.
- If the nail resists, apply more remover and wait a little longer. Be patient and avoid pulling or forcing the nail off.
-
Remove Residue:
- After removing the press-on nails, check for any adhesive residue on the back of the nails and your natural nails.
- If there's residue on the press-ons, use a nail file or buffer to gently file it off. Make sure not to file too aggressively to avoid damaging the surface of the press-ons.
-
Clean the Nails:
- Wipe the press-on nails with a cotton ball soaked in nail polish remover to remove any oils or residue.
- Allow them to dry completely before storing.
-
Moisturize Your Natural Nails:
- After removing the press-ons, wash your hands and apply cuticle oil to keep your natural nails healthy.
Tips for Reusing Press-Ons:
- Check for Damage: Before reusing, inspect the press-ons for any damage. If they are cracked or misshapen, it may be better to replace them.
- Use Quality Adhesives: When reapplying, use high-quality adhesive tabs or glue specifically designed for press-on nails to ensure they stay secure.
- Keep Track of Fit: If you use the same press-ons multiple times, keep track of which sizes fit your nails best to make reapplication easier.
